Our Programs:

The Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) offers over a hundred programs spanning five Academic Schools; Access, Applied Arts and New Media, Business, Health and Human Services and Trades and Technology.

To ensure that students have a positive learning experiences enabling them to reach success, class sizes average twenty five or less in each program ; faculty have direct industry experience; and program curriculum is continually updated to respond to industry and regulatory changes.

Our campus community offers a blend of in-class theory and hands-on experience. Skills are gained in the labs, shops, and through practical experience in the field. Students apply their learning to the neighboring community through service learning. Prior to graduation, students are required to successfully complete a co-op or work experience placement related to their program of study. With this practical work experience together with personal and previous experiences, our students have a powerful set of attributes in which to seek employment. A completed portfolio that shows a professional and personal collection of these and other strengths, knowledge and experiences help to ensure that our graduates are prepared to meet the demands put on them by industry.
